A safe and supportive space for children and teens (6-18yrs.old) to explore their thoughts, feelings, and challenges. Through age-appropriate approaches, we'll work together to help build emotional resilience, improve communication, and navigate life's changes with confidence.

Parent/Caregiver Coaching

Offering personalized guidance and support to help parents/caregivers navigate challenges and foster stronger family connections. We’ll work together to develop effective strategies for improving communication, addressing behavior, and creating a positive family dynamic.

Individual Counselling

Meet Jenny

Jenny Powell is a dedicated registered social worker with over 20 years of clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, parents, and individuals. Her diverse background spans healthcare, education, child welfare, and youth justice settings, where she has empowered people through life’s challenges with compassion and expertise.With advanced training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Jenny takes a creative and playful approach to evidence-based techniques. Whether helping a child untangle big feelings, guiding teens to reframe unhelpful thoughts, or supporting parents in navigating family dynamics, she tailors strategies to fit each unique need.Known for her relatable and thoughtful approach, Jenny helps families make sense of difficult behaviors while fostering stronger relationships and building children’s confidence. Originally from Nova Scotia, Jenny has called Waterloo home since 2007. She finds joy cheering on the sidelines of football games, coaching basketball, or relaxing around a campfire with her husband and two children.

The office is in a converted house with multiple entrances. Free parking is available at the back of the building. From the parking lot, use the entrance on the right side of the building. If arriving on foot, the front entrance is on the left.
Look for the “Psychotherapy Services” sign. Stairs are the only access to the waiting room, so the office is not wheelchair accessible. Please contact me with any questions or accommodation needs.
